
Henry Carnell is a journalist and producer based in Oregon. He covers attacks on science, health, and the environment. His work has been published by Mother Jones, The Washington Blade, Quanta, and 5280 Magazine. It has also been republished by Inside Climate News, Grist, Canada’s National Observer, LGBTQ Nation, and Them.
He is currently a digital fellow at Mother Jones, where he reports, produces videos, and keeps the Climate Desk syndication network running smoothly. Alongside work, he will start a part-time Master's of Library and Information Science at the University of Washington in September.
Previously, he was a 2023-2024 Ben Bagdikian Fellow at Mother Jones and a Digital Equity Fellow with The Washington Blade and News is Out, where he reported the intersection between technology and the LGBTQ community.
